A Main Street stall in Oranjestad that has been frying pastechi, the island's hand pie, to order since long before the street outside filled with cruise ship shoppers. Ham and cheese or spiced ground beef are the two fillings it built its reputation on, split hot from the fryer and best eaten standing at the counter before the shell steams itself soft. Mornings sell out fastest, the later in the day you arrive the shorter the list of what is left.
