Built to connect Medellin's hillside barrios to the metro system rather than for tourists, the cable car ride out to Parque Arvi is still one of the best value views in the city, gliding directly over rooftops that used to be unreachable by any public transport at all. The park at the top end is a genuine cloud forest, trails, a small market and none of the city noise below. Ride it midweek if possible, the cars fill fast with commuters at rush hour.
